Job Description

League School of Greater Boston is an award winning year-round program dedicated to the education of children on the autism spectrum. Our team approach to education creates a collaborative, supportive and open environment within our community. We are currently seeking a Network Administrator for our program in Walpole.

The Network Administrator is a professional position at League School of Greater Boston. This position involves working with and bringing together the school facilities' local area networks and the administrative system WAN. This position is on-site at the technology department office but frequently involves hands-on troubleshooting tasks within the school and residential program facilities and classrooms. This position is responsible for the entire school and residential network, and works closely with the Technology Department Manager to ensure the network is functional and accessible at all times for essential administrative and educational use. This position is involved with the development and implementation of the school's IT framework. This position requires the Network Administrator to be on call for network emergencies and have a back-up plan in place for times he/she may be inaccessible.

Position Requirements:

Education/Experience:
•Bachelor's Degree in IT (Preferred)
•3-5 years IT experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•Windows Active Directory and Group Policy
•Windows Server Management
•Servers, VMware, Routers, Switches, DHCP, WAN, LAN, VLAN, SDWAN, Firewalls, NAS, SSO, MFA, MAC filtering, AP
•Office 365
•Disaster Recovery Planning and Data Storage and Backup
•VOIP phone system
•IP Video Surveillance Systems and POE
•Website Management (e.g., Wordpress)
•Customer support and Helpdesk
•VPN
•Familiar with Windows OS, iOS, MacOS, ChromeOS, Google Workspace
•Experience with MDMs (e.g., Intune, Securly, Google Admin)
•Extensive knowledge of network technology, infrastructure, set up, configuration, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, replacement and repair
•Ability to work well independently and as a team player

Certificates and Licenses:
•A+, Network+, Security+, and/or CCNA (preferred)
•Valid Driver's License

Skills:
•Oral communication skills, written communication skills, technical communication, organization, budgeting, planning, project management, time management, technology support

Other Requirements:
•Must pass rigorous background checks, including nationwide fingerprint screening.
•Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless a medical or religious exemption is approved.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

1.Responsible for all network hardware and software systems throughout the League School facilities
2.Responsible for setting up, configuring, managing, and maintaining the Windows servers, switches, routers, updates, and data storage and backup
3.Responsible to communicate effectively about network issues or outages, and collaborate, as necessary, with network providers to resolve network-related issues
4.Responsible to collaborate with Technology Department Manager about network development, design, procurement, systemic updates, maintenance, configuration, upgrades, and ensure end users' satisfaction
5.Provide assistance and troubleshooting to end users on all platforms
6.Maintain and update network maps, guides, drawings, and documentation as necessary
7.Responsible for installing, configuration, managing and maintenance of VOIP phone system and IP camera systems
8.Responsible for managing the firewall, web filters, VPN, and network security as a whole
9.Managing and Imaging Windows desktops and laptops
10.Collaborate with Technology Department Manager to develop a Disaster Recovery Plan and Maintain Data Storage Backups
11.Collaborate with Technology Department Manager to develop an Information Security Plan
12.Performs other related duties as assigned
