Job Description

Job Goal:  Assist the BOKS Lead Trainer in running the BOKS (Building Our Kids Success) before school physical activity program

 

Qualifications:

  • Interest in health, wellness and fitness
  • Experience working with elementary aged students 
  • Available during before school hours (7am-8am)
  • Must be flexible and be able to think on your feet
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • CPR certification (preferred, not required)

Responsibilities include:

  • Review BOKS Training Manual and understand how to execute all lessons & related activities
  • Support the lead trainer to lead, manage and oversee the flow of class including explanation and enforcement of safety procedures and “participant rules” for class
  • Be able to support children in fitness related activities
  • Assist in taking daily attendance as needed
  • Help choose and announce Fit Kid of the Week and distribute end of session certificates

 

Terms of Employment

  • Yearly Appointment
  • $30 per hour worked
  • 1 hour/day
  • 3 days a week for two 12 week sessions

Reports to:  The School Principal and District Wellness Coordinator
