Job Description

The Learning Community, a vibrant public charter school, seeks a creative, energetic 6th Grade Math Teacher interested in being part of a close-knit and collaborative school community. Our team enjoys autonomy, collaboration, leadership, and opportunities for growth. There is a 1k bonus at 3 months and then a 1k bonus at 6 months. All candidates must have certification.

Professional Development: Teachers receive job embedded professional development and a variety of innovative options for growth, learning and sharing what they know. These include a two-week summer institute, professional development days throughout the school year, working with external consultants and attending professional development workshops.

Position Responsibilities
•Deliver high quality Mathematics instruction to one grade at the middle school level.
•Employ a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media.
•Work collaboratively with Special Education professionals to ensure the success of all students.
•Monitor student progress through standards-based assessments.
•Analyze student data to drive instruction.
•Establish a classroom community characterized by strong relationships with and high expectations for students.
•Attend whole team meetings each week to support school wide communication and systems.
Collaborate with grade level team around student and family support, expectations, and communication.
Work with a coach to continuously improve student learning.
•Proactively communicate with families from multiple backgrounds and cultures to partner around student success
