Job Description

The Learning Community seeks a skilled full time maintenance worker, who will be responsible for the daily cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance of the school and grounds, ensuring a clean welcoming environment for students and staff. General duties include utilizing basic janitorial and building maintenance skills to maintain a four-floor school and associated equipment. Maintenance person will be responsible for conducting small drywall repairs, interior / exterior painting, floor maintenance and conducting general janitorial duties among other duties throughout the day. Must be able to plan and prioritize work orders, work independently and within a team environment. This position is considered an on-call position, that may require persons to work outside of normal scheduled hours, weekends and during inclement weather events to handle emergency maintenance / repairs at the facility. Lifting weight of over 50 pounds may be required at times. Personal conduct and demeanor are required to be on par with professionals working at an elementary school, but familiarity with school operations is not required. Basic computer skills to manage and track trouble calls are a plus but not required. $500.00 Signing Bonus eligible, $250.00 upon 3 months employment and $250.00 upon 6 months employment.
