Job Description

Anticipated Opening: Regional School District 19 is seeking a Job Development Coordinator.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience working with high school aged students. In addition, this candidate will have strong community relationships within Northeastern Connecticut. This position requires an understanding of special education in Connecticut and the PPT process, transition and post-secondary needs of high school aged students, the ability to administer and utilize vocational assessments with students, understanding and implementing vocational curriculum, and positive communication skills. Job duties include: administering vocational assessments and interest inventories with high school students, creating and maintaining community based internships, coordinating monthly vocational speakers and tours within the community, participating as member of multi-disciplinary team to meet individualized student needs, and must be able to drive students to and from community-based activities during the school day..

This position requires a minimum of a BA in a related field.
