Job Description

The Ocean State Academy is a fast-growing non-public special education school dedicated to meeting the needs of a diverse student body from communities throughout Rhode Island. We are looking to add qualified educators. As an energetic and growing school, we are eager to add enthusiastic people committed to making a positive impact on youth and our local community to grow with us.

Duties and Responsibilities to include:
-Providing support to students with behavioral and emotional disorders
-Consults with parents, teachers, and school districts to problem solve effective interventions
-Participates in the development of individualized education programming
-Serves as liaison between the school and community resources
-Maintains clinical record keeping
-Performs crisis intervention as needed
-Report to the school Principal and works closely with the Dean of Students in supporting the philosophy of the program and
maintaining a climate of academic excellence
-Acts ethically and with integrity while working with the student population
