(Job Training Program Lab Instructor)

            Lorain County JVS is a public high school that provides career-technical training and academic courses for high school students grades 9-12.  In addition the Adult Career Center offers training and educational opportunities for adults.


STARTING DATE:                               
August 12, 2022                                               
Appropriate step on Teacher’s Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education
REPORTS TO:                                     
Assigned Supervisor/Principal

WORK WEEK/YEAR:                           
As per Board-adopted calendar
Bachelor’s Degree in Education
Appropriate State of Ohio certification/licensure
Experience in developing, implementing and evaluating IEP’s
Flexibility to work with various schedules in multiple settings
Team player
Proven ability to work with multiple levels of personnel including administrators, counselors, teachers, parents, and students
Proven technology related skills
Demonstrated ability to work with students of wide ranging abilities
Ethical practice of the teaching profession
Current TTW Endorsement OR ability to enroll in classes at a participating university and obtain TTW Endorsement within 2 years
Prior teaching experience in a special education environment
Knowledge of career and technical program offerings
First Aid/ CPR training
Active involvement in professional organizations
Extensive knowledge of current law as it relates to providing special education services in the State of Ohio
