Job Description

POSITION TITLE: Speech Language Pathologist

LOCATION:  Greenwood Elementary School 

QUALIFICATION: 

  • Graduate from an accredited Speech Language Pathology school. 
  • Current MA Speech-Language Pathologist license
  • Strong ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners
  • Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct assessments in collaboration with others that help to identify students with communication disorders as well as to inform instruction and intervention.
  • Interpret results of assessments conducted to develop recommendations, write IEP goals and participate in Team meetings
  • Provide interventions that are appropriate to the age and learning needs of each individual student and that are selected through an evidence-based decision-making process.
  • Provide individual and/or small group therapy for students with identified disabilities and record data of students progress for Progress Reports.
  • Collaborate with other school professionals, families and outside agencies.
