Job Description

Orleans Central Supervisory Union is seeking an English Language Learner Lead Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will:

Establish goals and provide direct instruction and supports to ELL students;
Administer ELL screener to determine eligibility for ELL;
Administer the WIDA ACCESS assessment to determine student growth;
Collaborate with other teachers and school staff to determine resources and supports for student learning;
Communicate and provide updates to the Director of Instruction to determine needs for the ELL program;
Maintain records as appropriate to track student growth;
Work on graduation/post secondary plans for ELL students as needed

The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools, the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program, and Lake Region Union High School.Orleans Central Supervisory Union is located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom which is known for scenic and rugged area of hills, sugarbushes, farmland and lakes.
