Job Description

The District Data Analyst Lead will be responsible for analyzing district data and developing management reports for review and decision-making by senior administration, school leadership, and the school committee.

Responsibilities include:

-Access and extract data from various electronic sources within the District, including but not limited to the X2 student information system, MUNIS Financial, Payroll and HR system, Frontline Absence Management system, professional development tracking system, and other data sources.
-Filter and clean data to ensure data integrity.
-Interpret data and analyze results using appropriate methods of statistical analysis.
-Utilize data to analyze problems and identify root causes.
-Provide data-driven consulting to leadership and support leadership decision making.
-Manage and improve existing reporting systems; ensure regular updates of data and information.
-Create accurate, consistent and timely reports.
-Create presentations, including charts and graphs, to effectively communicate data.
-Work with key stakeholders to develop queries, reports, and dashboards to summarize and leverage data from applicable systems.
-Complete other duties assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendent.

Qualifications:
-Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
-Advanced technical proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Google products, and web portals.
-Advanced programming skills in SQL-type languages preferred.
-Strong critical thinking skills and ability to solve complex problems.
-Supervisory experience preferred.
-Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.

Reports To: Superintendent of Schools
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will supervise the District Database Specialist.
Compensation: Position is a 52-week position with a salary range of $65,000 to $80,000, depending on education and experience; eligible for health/dental/life insurance and vacation/personal/sick.
