Job Description
The OCSUfun Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the after school site by working with the teachers, principal, and other school staff to design programs, collecting data, building and strengthening community partnerships, building sustainability, oversee after school staff, and participating in state and regional meetings, trainings, and workshops. Experience in grant management, administrative management or running similar programs is strongly desired.
Site Coordinator duties include but are not limited to:
•Responsible for the management and supervision of the day-to-day operation of the after-school program, including enrichment, recreational and academic classes.
•Planning and oversight of afterschool, and summer programs for students in grades K-8th.
•Working with teachers, students, and the school principal to design an exciting and engaging schedule of programs for academic enrichment and exploration that meets the needs of students and families,
•Tracking program participation levels, daily attendance, and evaluation measures.
•Recruiting teachers and instructors for classes and supporting them in creating high quality learning experiences.
•Establishing, maintaining, and strengthening community partnerships.
•Conducting program evaluation and writing annual reports as required.
•Participating in state and regional meetings, conferences, workshops, and other activities.
•Developing and implementing an advocacy plan for promoting the program and its successes.
•Developing and implementing sustainability plans for the program and following through on efforts, grants, and activities to secure funding.
•Supervise the notification and registration of the children that participate in the program
•Supervise instructional and non-instructional staff, volunteers, and students who are participating.
•Other duties as assigned by the After School Director
We strive to provide academic and enrichment activities during non-school hours. We continuously work on building healthy habits through offering a nutritious and delicious kid-friendly snack. Through providing our program we hope to help our students accomplish academic achievements, and become active members of their community.
The Orleans Central Supervisory Union is comprised of two school districts (Lake Region Union Elementary-Middle School and Lake Region Union High School) supporting six K-8 elementary schools, the Orleans Central Early Childhood Program, and Lake Region Union High School.
Orleans Central Supervisory Union is located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom which is known for scenic and rugged area of hills, sugarbushes, farmland and lakes. While our communities are small, they are truly that, a community that people are proud to be a part of. While we are rural, scenic drives will land you at Burke Mountain, Craftsbury Outdoor Center, and Jay Peak for skiing, opportunities, mountain biking at Kingdom Trails, fishing at the local lakes, and other outdoor activities. Our area is known for its sugar houses, which features Sugar on Snow in early spring, offering enjoyment for all ages.
