Concurrent Liaison Job Description

 

 

Reports to

Building Principal

 

Position Summary

Concurrent Liaison assists the Principal and the counselor with managing the day-to-day activities of our concurrent students throughout the school year. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

•Manage attendance for concurrent students
•Monthly meeting with concurrent students. Review their college grade book (Moodle)
•Order, purchase, assign, organize and maintain books for concurrent students and their college classes.
•Manages concurrent students' needs for courses/ add student name/book/access codes needed
•Manages book inventory: student sign verify receipt of books
•Book inventory of no longer used; find a new home for them
•Oversee Bi-monthly grade checks for concurrent students
•Summit ~ Check daily goals/attendance based on goals/Check to make sure Summit is up-to-date, questions updated, students are on track
•Communicate with House Deans, Administrator, and Counselor re: Concurrent student issues/concerns
•Communicate with Parents
•Manage Chromebook inventory for the school

Must be Fluent in Spanish and translate as needed

  • Be capable of physically assisting students (positioning, lifting, transferring, restraining, etc.) 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively and cooperatively under the direction of others 
  • Maintain a high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, and other school personnel for the purpose of meeting the needs of the students and communicate pertinent information as appropriate
  • Model conversation, manners, engagement, listening, and everyday interactions for the purpose of demonstrating appropriate social behavior in a culturally sensitive manner
  • Behave and speak in a professional manner at all times  
  • Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality, and attendance
  • Attend staff and team meetings  
  • Be proactive in matters relating to health and safety 
  • Have the willingness to assume any responsibilities appropriate for the position  
  • Support the Mission Statement of the district 

 

Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma required 
  • Associates Degrees of higher preferred, but not required

Salary and Benefits

  • Insurance- health, dental, vision paid for contracted employee
  • 401K- 7% based on total compensation starting after 6 months of employment
  • 10 days PTO
