Job Description





Position Title: Accounting Clerk SS-2

Reports to: Central Office Business Administrator



To support the School Business Administrator in the areas of finance and accounting.

Salary:   $22.43 - $24.27 per hour depending on experience, per contract



  • Perform financial and budget analysis and create spreadsheets, presentations and reports
  • Exercise initiative in establishing or revising files to meet current needs and demands for materials and information.
  • Process purchase requisitions
  • Process course reimbursement requests
  • Maintain a list of personnel obtaining graduate credits to apply for the salary schedule.
  • Coordinate annual Kindergarten Registration for the district.
  • Support new student enrollment district wide 
  • Issue Professional Development Point Certificates
  • Assist the School Business Administrator in budget development
  • Serve as payroll support and backup 
  • Assist the HR/Payroll Coordinator with:
    • Bi-weekly Custodial Payroll processing
    • Input and process payroll for all schools
    • Preparing reports for proper agencies.
    • Preparing monthly warrant/budget reports.
  • Perform such other tasks as may from time to time be assigned by the School Business Administrator

High school graduate or general education degree (GED) or associate's degree; five years previous paid experience or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.




  • Ability to operate computers and related computer software, and adapt to technology presently or in the future in the office environment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memos.  Ability to write correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to employees of the organization.

  • Ability to deal with a diverse population and wide range of issues.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret and process financial data.
