Thank you for your interest in teaching with Charlottesville City Schools!  We are currently accepting applications for anticipated Secondary Classroom Teacher/Specialist vacancies for the 2022-23 School Year.  Specialists include Professional School Counselors, Social Workers, School Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist, Math/Reading Interventionist and Specialists.

Who May Apply


Educators interested in teaching and supporting Middle and High School aged learners.  Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching license with an endorsement in the content area they are teaching by June 30, 2022.

  1. Submit an employment application for the elementary classroom teacher/specialist positions.
    The following must be included in the Attachments of your application. 
    •  Resume
    •  Status of your Virginia License (i.e. actual license, letter of eligibility, application status, or copies of materials submitted to the VDOE)
  2. Applicants may apply for specific individual vacancies after submitting your application for this posting. A separate applicant pool exists for Secondary Teacher/Specialist, Math and Special Education Teachers.  Please be sure to submit your application if you are interested in those areas as well.
