Job Description

White River Valley High School seeks an enthusiastic Spanish speaker to teach Spanish I-V in the Spring of 2022. The anticipated start date for this long term substitute position is March 7th and it runs until the end of the school year on June 16th. Expect 1 week of training followed by 5 weeks of teaching before Spring Break which is followed by 7 weeks of teaching. The successful candidate will have conversational fluency with Spanish and be able to explain grammar as well as share cultural information.

With only 1 class of more than 10 students, the teacher and students are able to work closely together improving Spanish language skills and knowledge. This could be a prime opportunity for someone thinking about going into the world of teaching Spanish, or for someone who feels like now might be the time to get engaged with our public schools and share their love of Spanish.
