Job Description

Milton Town School District is seeking to fill an FY22 only vacant position for student-centered, skilled Behavior Interventionists to provide support for our high school in the areas of emotional regulation, social cognition, and academics. The successful candidates will have the ability:

•To work as a member of a team that employs restorative approaches in processing student behavior, repairing harm, and teaching pro-social problem-solving skills and/or
•To implement behavior intervention plans, collect and analyze data, and provide targeted interventions.
•To collaborate with professionals, including our behavior coach, special educators, guidance counselor, and classroom teachers. Being an advocate of inclusive education, a strong collaborator, and a problem solver is essential.
•To build strong relationships and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families.

Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor’s degree, two or more years of similar experience, and overall background in the field of special education or behavioral supports. Expertise in the following areas will also be considered: CPI, LSCI, or other verbal de-escalation techniques, MTSS-B, and implementation of different tiers of behavior support and social cognition / social thinking group facilitation.
