Job Description

Holliston's Fred Miller Elementary School ihas an immediate need for Adjustment Counselor substitute. This position would start immediately and continue through approximately January 3, 2022.

Function:
- Provide direct behavioral support for student(s) in crisis
- Provide direct counseling services per student’s I.E.P.
- Provide a rapid response assessment of the contributing factors to the crisis
- Assist in conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments
- Develop Behavioral Intervention Plans to support student(s) in crisis
- Implement student(s)' behavioral intervention plans
- Work with school-based team to oversee behavioral intervention plans
- Provide staff training, consultation in the implementation of behavior intervention plans
- Direct instruction of skill acquisition
- Collect and analyze data student progress data
- Assist with student evaluations and revise and update behavioral plans
- Provide direct support for student(s) within the general education setting
- Consult with teachers, administration, parents
- Respond to teacher referrals relating to behavioral issues
- Design and adapt curricula and materials to support students within the general education settings
- Communicate with families
- Ability to participate in and implement Safety Care behavioral management techniques

Qualifications:
• Master's Degree
• Massachusetts Certification/License, mental health professional and/or BCBA Experience
working in a therapeutic milieu (such as a day treatment program or facility) preferred.
