Job Description

The Bennington Rutland Supervisory Union is seeking applications for a Van Driver. This position will have the responsibility of a designated van route in the morning and afternoon of school days with the possibility of additional driving throughout the day. Any offers of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a background check, fingerprinting, and physical. If you are interested in this role, we are more than willing to train the right candidate as long as they meet the below minimum qualifications. 
Compensation starts at $20.00 per hour (potential for more depending on years of experience) with benefits.

This position has the opportunity to be a Bus Driver position if a CDL is obtained post hire or an applicant has a CDL upon hire.

Transport children to and from school in the mornings and afternoons.
Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
Obey all traffic laws
Perform pre/post trip inspections of the bus or vehicle
Ensure the safety of students at all times
Availability to assist with other assignments as needed

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum Requirements:
      High school diploma or GED
      Clean driving record
      At least 21 years of age

      Opportunity to obtain a Class B License with air brakes, Passenger & School bus endorsements
      Familiar with DOT rules and requirements
    • No experience required
    • High School/Trade School degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
