Job Description

1.Master’s degree in mental health counseling or social work
2.DESE Licensure for school adjustment counselor
3.Knowledge and experience with middle school aged students dealing with social/emotional, learning (academic) and behavioral issues
4.Knowledge and experience with trauma informed care
5.Strong interpersonal and interprofessional skills
6.Experienced group facilitator
7.Understanding ethical and boundary issues with adolescents
8.Strong organizational skills
9.Strong verbal and written communication skills
10. Experience engaging “tough to reach” families
11.Experience working with community health agencies, various systems for youth and families and outside collaterals
12.Experience with the IEP TEAM meeting process and goal writing
Strongly preferred:
2.Experience locating and collaborating with outside resources
3.Experience with transition planning
4.Experience in a school setting
