Job Description

The Bromfield School seeks a Middle School Health teacher to join our school community at the start of the 2021-2022 school year. We are interested in candidates who are invested in the achievement, equity, and success of all learners.
Preferred candidates will have:
  • Experience teaching at the middle school level.
  • Strong knowledge of the developmental needs of middle school learners, the willingness to be flexible, and work as a valuable member of an interdisciplinary team.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Health Standards for grades 6-8. Proficiently in teaching skills-based lessons.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Experience differentiating instruction and assessment to meet the needs of all learners, and providing students with regular feedback about their progress towards learning goals.
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with students, parents, staff, and the community, including collaborating with colleagues on curriculum, lesson, and assessment design.
  • Proficient with Google Classroom and Google apps.

    The Bromfield School is located thirty miles west of Boston in the Northeastern corner of Worcester County in the town of Harvard, Massachusetts. The Bromfield School founded in 1878 by Margaret Bromfield Blanchard boasts a student population of 710 in grades 6-12. The strong academic program includes core courses in mathematics, English, social studies, and science, as well as music, world languages, physical education and fine and applied arts.     Job Requirements

    • Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Health/Family Consumer Sciences K-12.
      Experience in teaching mindfulness practices is preferred.
      Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and possess a high level of capability with technology.
    • At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
