Job Description

Lunch Aides - two positions

Hinesburg Community School is seeking energetic, child-centered adults to assist with the supervision of our K-8 students during lunch and occasionally during recess. We are looking for candidates who love to work as part of a team, who will provide positive reinforcement and redirection, and who will follow established protocols to keep children safe. This position is Monday through Friday 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM when school is in session.

•Assist in supervision of student behavior and safety in the lunchroom, on the playground, and during the transition between lunch and recess. Enforce posted playground rules and carry out school disciplinary policies and procedures when needed.
•Lunch room: follow each team’s specific lunch room rules, wipe tables after student use (including peanut-free table) and before exiting for recess, and help facilitate proper use of the compost/recycling station
