Job Description

6.75 hr/day. Beginning wage $14.30/hr.  $14.30/hr base wage + $2.20/hr supplemental pay = $16.50/hr for 2020-21. Hourly rate may be higher with experience. Supplemental pay is for 2020-21 only and wages for next year will be re-negotiated in the spring.  Experience working with special needs students.  Great communication skills and problem solving skills needed.  Candidate will need to complete the safety and written components of Nonviolent Crisis Prevention (CPI) training provided by district upon hire.  Ability to utilize technology and provide appropriate instruction in face to face and virtual learning environments required.  .  Ability to utilize technology and provide appropriate instruction in face to face and virtual learning environments required.

1:1 assistants work only when the student is in attendance at school. For instance, if it is known in advance that the student will be absent; the 1:1 assistant will not report to work. If the 1:1 assistant has reported to work and the child is ill, the 1:1 assistant has the option of performing other duties as assigned or not work for that day.
