Job Description

MSAD 61 seeks an organized, flexible, energetic, and innovative school psychologist able to work well in a fast-paced collegial environment.

The ideal candidate possesses knowledge of and experience with:

•Standardized assessment tools used in evaluating students through the special education referral and re-evaluation process
•Conducting Functional Behavior
•A thorough understanding of Maine Special Education Regulations and the RTI process
•Providing consultation to school staff and parents involving social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
•Being an active member of a school’s RTI team
•Working with a team of highly qualified school psychologists conducting a range of educational, emotional, and psychological evaluations for students primarily grades 9-12 but could involve other levels as needed
•Successfully working as part of a treatment team- our high school has two Day Treatment Programs
•Completing evaluations within an established time frame
•Excellent written language skills

    • Maine certification 093 - REQUIRED
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
