Job Description

Franklin West Supervisory Union central office is seeking a finance assistant to provide year round (12 month) administrative support and review/audit expenditures for all FWSU schools. Franklin West serves three schools in the towns of Fairfax, Fletcher, and Georgia.

The finance assistant responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Review accounts payable batches prepared by the schools to ensure accuracy.
  • Enter reoccurring bills.
  • Process weekly accounts payable payments.
  • Review of general ledger detail and draft journal entries as needed
  • Coordinate food service program responsibilities.
  • Provides support for other business functions such as cash receipts, bank reconciliations, fixed asset reporting/depreciation and budget entry.
  • Assists business manager with projects as they arise.

    Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficient computer skills including experience with google and microsoft products. ADS/eFinance knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a team, while able to work independently.
