Hartland Elementary School is Seeking a Middle Level Science Teacher

Hartland Elementary School is a public elementary school serving approximately 300 students in grades K-8. Our school is dedicated to a student centered approach through projects, an integrated curriculum, differentiated instructional strategies, and proficiency based learning. We value educating the whole child through a team approach. We are an enthusiastic and inclusive community committed to student agency and self-directed learning.

Valid Educator license with middle-level endorsement in Science

The successful candidate will:
>Understand the middle grades philosophy and the unique developmental needs of middle grade learners;
>Have an understanding of proficiency-based learning and the ability to plan units of study that are rigorous and relevant for early adolescence;
>Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm;
>Take initiative, and engage in self-reflection;
>Demonstrate the ability to foster a positive rapport with students and families;
>Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members;
>Motivate and engage students;
>Enjoy co-planning/teaching and have experience integrating curriculum;

Preferred, but not required:
>Developmental Design training
>Collaborative Problem Solving training
>Knowledge of Trauma Informed teaching
>Additional middle level endorsements
