POSITION:               HUMAN CAPITAL SUPERVISOR

                                    Effective 2021-22 School Year

 

LOCATION:             KETTERING CITY SCHOOLS

 

GENERAL INFORMATION:  The Human Capital Supervisor reports to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Capital.  This position provides leadership, service, and comprehensive support to the Human Capital Department.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES, Partial List

  1. Provides leadership, service, and comprehensive support to the Asst. Superintendent of Human Capital and the Human Capital Department.
  2. Oversees, leads, understands, supervises, manages, supports policies, software, records, district calendar, background checks and pre-employment drug screenings, all aspects of employee management, processing of aides, coaches, adjustment of assignments, state permits, all aspects of insurance benefits, unemployment, public records requests, postings, professional letters.
  3. Other responsibilities pertaining to the Human Capital Department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, Partial List

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred; however, not required (training and experience will be considered).
  2. Successful experience in Human Capital or Human Resource Services in PK-12 education is preferred.
  3. Successful experience as a school administrator is preferred.
  4. Comprehensive experience leading and supporting certificated and classified employees.
  5. Knowledge of and/or willingness to acquire an understanding of the Ohio Department of Education; including the impact, rules, regulations, requirements, and cooperation that must exist between Kettering City Schools and the Ohio Department of Education.
  6. Demonstrated skill and knowledge in District operations and service.
  7. Proficiency in computer skills and knowledge of applications necessary to access timely and relevant information.
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with key stakeholders around a shared and dynamic vision for the Human Capital Department.
  9. Build and help lead recruitment and selection processes for the organization that consistently achieves desired results.
  10. Manages role with confidentiality and diplomacy with an understanding of the need to communicate changing priorities, sense of urgency, and support for the team.

 

SALARY:       According to approved administrative salary schedule.
