Job Description

Essex Westford School District is seeking a temporary substitute special educator at Essex Middle School beginning May 24, 2021 for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year. The Special Educator will provide support to teachers and students within the classroom setting as well as provide instruction to students as outlined in their IEPs.

Candidates with previous special education case management experience are encouraged to apply. Current special educator license in the State of VT is preferred but not required for this substitute position. Familiarity with VT Special Education laws, rules and other requirements desired. Effective facilitation skills, excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail also required.

The pay rate for this substitute position is $126/day for non-licensed candidates and $260/day for licensed educators.
