Administrative Office Support

12 Month Position



Richer Elementary School

Organizational Relationship or Line of Authority:                         

Reports to the School Principal                                              


Job Summary:            

Actively provides office support for the School Building and performs administrative office support work, general office assistance functions and related work as required.  Works cooperatively with district and school building personnel. 


Statement of Duties: 

  • Answering the telephone and respond to parent, student and staff requests.
  • Manage electronic correspondence
  • Updating reports
  • Process paperwork
  • Answering communications and correspondence
  • Filing
  • Distribute mail 
  • Order supplies and materials
  • Assist with tracking budgeting
  • Process student absences
  • Assist with lists and data entry for substitute coverage
  • Maintain accurate student files and records
  • Process all appropriate paperwork for admissions and transfers of students   
  • Process and track scheduling of building space use by outside groups        
  • Other administrative support tasks as assigned by the Principal and Assistant Principal.


  • High School Graduate
  • Minimum of two years’ general office experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with diverse office technology and equipment, specifically database, spreadsheet, and word processing.
  • Knowledge of Aspen, as it relates to student information is a plus.
  • Must be able to work well with the public, staff and students with a variety of backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Good customer service skills in dealing with the public and staff effectively.
  • Must be able perform work quickly, efficiently and accurately.
  • Good abilities with office practices, procedures and office equipment.
  • Good basic skills in oral and written communication.
  • Must be a strong team player, able to collaborate well with others.
  • Basic computer competence including standard office software (ex. Word and Excel) and data entry in database.
  • Bilingual (Spanish or Portuguese) highly preferred                             
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
