Job Description

We are looking for a licensed, experienced social worker or mental health counselor to provide clinical services at our LABBB Collaborative programs in one or more of our five member districts: Bedford, Lexington, Belmont, Burlington, Arlington.

Responsibilities include:

Individual counseling
Classroom consultation
Collaboration with other clinicians and team members
Working with the program’s behavior analyst to develop behavior plans
Helping students learn coping strategies they can use across settings
Coordinating outside services when appropriate
Communicating with collateral providers and outside agencies (i.e., DCF, DDS)
Conducting social emotional and psychoeducational groups
Working with the Social Thinking curriculum
Crisis Management

LABBB counselors and social workers work closely with other LABBB clinicians, behavior analysts, and specialists to provide integrated clinical services focused on helping students achieve their social emotional goals. 1-2 years experience working in special education is preferred. Licensure as a social worker is necessary. Supervision available.

    Job Requirements

    • Candidate must have a valid driver's license and be willing to drive between locations during the work day. DESE School Adjustment Counselor License preferred.
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
