Job Description

The Backpack Program of Laraway Youth & Family Services is growing and seeks skilled and motivated individuals to join our team. The interventionist will provide individualized support to child or youth struggling to find success in public school due to social-emotional and behavioral challenges. Interventionist will provide support in social, recreational, and daily living skills in school, community and outdoor education settings.

Experience - Experience in human service delivery in settings serving children and youth is preferred. Additional requirements – Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle is required.

    Job Requirements

    • Experience - Experience in human service delivery in settings serving children and youth is preferred.

      Education
      Bachelor degree completed or willingness to pursue a degree, preferably in Human Services or related field required.

      Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle is required. Must have the physical ability to contain children in crisis; this may include authorized methods in physical restraint if necessary and/or running to catch a child.
    • At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
