Job Description

ARHS TLC-II PROGRAM COORDINATOR/TEACHER
Stipend: $5396 (Includes pre and post planning, direct instruction, over-site of entire program)
Coordinator Responsibilities start immediately:
• Instruct and supervise program 4 days/week, Monday-Thursday, 9:00 AM –2:00 PM for 7 weeks.
• Provide highly structured, instructional programs that focus on language acquisition, fine and gross motor development, pragmatics/behavior, and activities of daily living.
• Attend planning meetings with Student Support Services administrators and Autism Specialist.
• Follow program books, plan curriculum, and oversee the weekly summation of data.
• Schedule students for therapies.
• Communicate proactively with parents regarding program schedule and expectations and all relevant information.
• Write a welcome letter to parents two weeks prior to the start of the program to introduce staff, explain logistics and communication systems.
• Assure that the summer nurse has appropriate medical information for each student and that appropriate student safety procedures are in place.
• Gather appropriate curricular materials for instruction.
• Collect daily/weekly data on student performance and at the completion of the program, forward information to receiving teachers.
• Ensure that progress reports are written in ways that align with each student’s specific goals and objectives that require ESY support. Oversee and facilitate the sending and organization of ESY Progress Reports.
• Address parental issues as they arise.

      Weeks of: July 5 (no school 7/5/21), July 12, July 19, July 26, Aug. 2, Aug. 9, & Aug. 16
      These program models are designed for elementary, middle and high school aged students currently enrolled in the TLC-II classroom. Students are diagnosed with Autism or significant global delay and receive intensive, specialized instruction across the day with IEPs goals and objectives that focus on language acquisition, fine and gross motor development, academic skills, pragmatics/behavior, and activities of daily living. Each student requires the support of an adult to help him/her access the daily program. Instruction incorporates multi-sensory, small group work as well as individual ABA (discrete trial) programs.
