Job Description

Belmond-Klemme CSD announces a vacancy for a licensed school social worker. Preference will be given to candidates with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree.

The Belmond-Klemme Community School District lies in the beautiful Iowa River Valley near the Interstate 35 and US Highway 20 corridors half-way between Ames, Fort Dodge, and Mason City, and a short drive from all three cities.

Belmond-Klemme School serves over 700 students in grades K - 12 this year. Belmond-Klemme is a progressive school district that offers an outstanding faculty, supportive parents, and a proud academic tradition. Class size is low. The faculty is young, energetic, and friendly. The elementary school building was built within the last ten years and features the very latest in aesthetics and classroom comfort. The secondary school is in a modern building currently undergoing extensive renovations to provide the very best in amenities.

Belmond-Klemme is a one-to-one technology school, grades K - 12, and has distinguished itself in recent years with its progressive approach to 21st Century education. It seeks teachers skilled in this area, able to use technology to enhance student learning.

Our base salary is above the state average, starting at $40,000.

Coaching and activity sponsorships are available with this position but not required.
