Job Description

Soar Learning Center, located in Saint Albans Bay, Vermont, is seeking motivated individuals to work as Behavior Interventionists in an Independent School and Day Treatment setting. Soar provides therapeutic and behavioral supports to K-12 students during the regular academic school year in addition to a four week summer program.

Qualified applicants:
- Will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline
- Will be able to assist in the implementation of behavior plans within a small classroom setting.
- Must have the ability to problem-solve and communicate with both elementary and adolescent students, as well as effectively manage crisis situations.
- Must also be able to recognize and build on student and family strengths as the basis for intervention.

    Job Requirements

    • Other responsibilities include data collection and the writing of daily progress notes. Strong written and oral communication skills are of critical importance, as is the ability to work well as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
