Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for teaching five high school science courses per semester. These courses include: 4 sections of CP Chemistry and 1 section of CP Astronomy.

The candidate must be familiar with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks which incorporates the Next Generation Science standards and be able to collaborate with members of the HS Science department to review, develop and execute a rigorous district curriculum aligned to state standards.

The teacher is responsible for the delivery of grade-level curriculum and for differentiating instruction. Familiarity with standard-based education and the ability to effectively collaborate with others are required. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

    Job Requirements

    • DEGREE PREFERRED:
      •Master’s Degree

      EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
      •1-3 years’ experience working with high school students
      •Student teaching experience

      ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
      •SEI Endorsement
      •DESE License in Chemistry 9-12

      START DATE:ASAP through the end of the 2020/2021 school year
