Job Description

Saint Agnes School, in collaboration with Arlington Catholic High School, is part of the Catholic School of Saint Agnes Parish (www.achssas.org). We serve students from infancy through Grade 8 at our campus, who then continue on at ACHS for Grades 9-12. The Early Learning Center is a full day, year round early childhood program for children 2 months to 36 months. The Saint Agnes Parish is a great place to work and serve!

The Early Learning Center at St Agnes School offers a rich, responsive curriculum to support individual learning and development. We encourage nurturing relationships between the infants and toddlers, their families, and the teachers. The opportunities for young children to see and experience positive social-emotional learning builds the foundation that is key to facilitate learning and growth.

With warmth, we welcome with enthusiasm, observe with care, respond with intentional, reflect with thought, and provide supportive collaboration. This is offered to each family member and child, in our communication, and in curriculum planning to offer the child a fantastic enriched learning environment appropriate for each child. This is offered to our staff through professional development as lifelong learners.

Children will be drawn in with safety and comfort with the routines, staged environments, and rewarding activities to prosper their growth. We, with our faith, nurture and nourish each child with key components of relationship. We share in advance, with the child’s family, the themes offered to the child. With genuine kindness and goodness, transitions are smooth. With joy, we give a daily update of the child’s activities so that you will be blessed by your child’s growth and development. The Early Learning Center follows all guidelines put forth by the CDC and EEC for COVID-19 safety.

We seek nurturing, thoughtful, and energetic teachers to join our team in the mixed Infant/ Toddler Classroom. Under the direction of the Early Education Director, the Teachers will provide an engaging and safe learning environment to nurture the development of children ages infant to 2.9 years according to the above philosophy. The Teachers will implement the curriculum and assessment and will serve in this caring community as key members of the collaborative team.

This is a great opportunity for an Early Childhood teacher who enjoys a small center, a mixed age grouping, enjoys serving children and their families in a newly renovated well designed environment, and who enjoys ongoing support of professional development and coaching for learning research-based curriculum and assessment.
