Job Description

**Maternity Leave Coverage from 4/1/2021 through the end of the academic year

-Responsible for effective planning and assessment of curriculum and instruction based on Preschool Curriculum.
-Responsible for mentoring students’ understanding of the curriculum effectively and adjusting instruction, materials, or assessments, when appropriate for all learners.
-Supports student learning and growth across all areas of development (communication, play, social/emotional, ADLs, pre academics, etc).
-Responsible for effective management of classroom environment.
-Responsible for using innovative approaches, and instructional strategies to increase student engagement and learning.
-Provides research-based specialized instruction to address the instructional goals and objectives contained within each student’s IEP.
-Assesses student progress and determines the need for additional reinforcement or adjustments to instructional techniques.
-Responsibilities include data collection and progress reports specific to individual student goals.
-Employs various teaching techniques, methods and principles of learning to enable students to meet their IEP goals.
-Develops and implements Individualized Educational Program (IEP) plans for students to include: present levels of educational performance, special education needs, instructional goals and objectives, and the special education and related services required to meet those goals.
-Coordinates the delivery of special education services in each student’s IEP.
-Communicates responsibly with students, parents, colleagues, and school leadership.
