Three towns - Aquinnah, Chilmark, and West Tisbury - joined together to form the Up-Island Regional School District to serve K-8 students residing in those towns. All six towns belong to the Martha's Vineyard Regional High School District serving students in grades 9-12 in a comprehensive high school. All five of these districts share one Superintendent and a central office staff, along with seven shared service programs for special education and related services.

The Martha's Vineyard Public Schools are located on the island of Martha's Vineyard, approximately seven miles off shore from Cape Cod, Massachusetts with access by ferry from Woods Hole. The MVPS services approximately 2,100 students, employs 550 staff members, and has a budget of $49 million. The Vineyard has a year-round population of about 15,000, with the schools being a main focus during the quieter months. Learn more about us...
