Job Description

This is a non-clinical case coordinator position responsible for providing support services to students, employees and families. Duties include triaging reports to determine next steps necessary and assign responsibilities for response, creating and maintaining COVID case files, conducting contact tracing, attending to after-hours reports during evenings and weekends, and reporting data for the District. This position also includes providing consultation with administration to coordinate COVID related responses.

Essential Functions: Work closely with the Central Office Administrative Team and nursing staff in establishment and oversight of protocols related to COVID-19 and the health and safety of the DCRSD community
•Serve as the primary recipient of the COVID-19 reports for students and employees
•Perform contact tracing for student and employee cases, identify close contacts of confirmed cases, provide quarantine and isolation instructions to individuals based on current CDC guidance and District protocol, and document all findings and timelines
•Work closely with District principals and building nurses on student cases and the Director of Human Resources on employee cases
•Communicate with the principal and custodial staff to report areas needing extra sanitization due to COVID-19 exposure
•Organize information and data related to COVID-19 cases for follow-up and reporting
•Review daily health screenings with school nurses and follow-up with students and employees reporting symptoms or employees and students that are not reporting daily as required
•Maintain daily and weekly status reports on all cases and quarantines for institutional and external reporting
•Provide oversight for BinaxNOW testing, including tracking of consents, and tests administered.


Qualifications (Preferred):
•Bachelor’s Degree
•5-years of experience in the following area(s):
oAdministrative work experience
oHealthcare, Nursing, Medical Case Management
oMedical office or health care environment
oExperience in patient care
•Knowledge of HR laws, HIPAA and FERPA preferred
•Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality of information
•Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
•Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and handle competing demands
•Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner
•Ability to collaborate well with others
•Ability to listen effectively, work independently, and as part of a team
•Knowledge of contract tracing procedures
•Understanding of Massachusetts DPH and DESE guidelines for COVID 19 in schools
