Job Description

Westford Public Schools is seeking a Special Educator for a sub-separate special education classroom, specifically for moderate to significant students with an Autism diagnosis. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Plan and implement direct instruction, including discrete trials
  • Partner with BCBA to supervise and implement basic principles & teaching procedures of ABA therapy
  • Develop behavior management plans and system for consistent data collection
  • Individually assess, monitor and adjust student learning goals according to student need and access.
  • Consult and collaborate with related professionals (psychologist, OT, PT, SLP)
  • Collaborate with classroom teaching assistants
  • Assess student learning
  • Develop and implement IEPs

    Job Requirements

    • Meets all state licensure standards; Special Education
      Familiar with eSped and all aspects of MA Special Education Regulations
      Experience with conducting academic assessments
      Strong interpersonal skills
      Strong organizational skills
    • Bachelor degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
