Job Description

Milestones Day School and Transitions Program is a year-round private special education school located in Waltham, MA and works with students with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, and a variety of attention and/or psychiatric challenges. We service students ranging in age from elementary grades through post high school, and our staff work in multi-disciplinary teams to support students in particular grade cohorts. We are currently recruiting for 2 Speech Language Pathologists (4 month part-time 3 days/week leave coverage and 6 month full-time 5/days week leave coverage) to join our team.

The position consists of teaching group lessons (focusing on social skills) as well as individual/dyad therapy sessions (focusing on building speech and language skills). The SLP also conducts formal evaluations of students and offers consultation to classroom staff. We have a well-stocked therapy center with plenty of materials to choose from and excellent opportunities for professional development!

School hours are Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:00PM, plus 5 hours on or offsite planning.

Masters degree
Active Massachusetts Licensure in Speech and Language Pathology
Prior experience treating language based learning disorders and working with students on the autism spectrum, is preferred.
