Location Description

The tuition assistance program is one of the ways that the Archdiocese of Washington helps many children realize the dream of a Catholic education. Over the past four years, the tuition assistance program has increased from offering $800,000 to over $5 million.

Job Requirements

• Principals in the Archdiocese of Washington shall be practicing Catholics who uphold the teaching of the faith and are committed to Catholic education that is academically excellent and rooted in Gospel values. Qualified candidates for Archbishop Neale School should be a certified catechist or demonstrate continuing progress towards attaining catechist certification in no more than three (3) years after date of hire and hold a Master's degree from an accredited institution in educational administration, curriculum development or an approved related educational field. They also will possess or be eligible for a Maryland, Virginia or District of Columbia educational administration certification and have a minimum of five (5) years of instructional experience, preferably in Catholic schools.

individual schools or administrators of non-parish schools hire the employees.

4. Archdiocesan policy requires that all employees be at least 18 years of age.

5. The Catholic identity of our schools is paramount, and the responsibility for developing
and enhancing that identity rests with the administration of each school. Therefore, it is
Archdiocesan policy that applicants wishing to be considered for the position of
principal of a Catholic school must be practicing Catholics in good standing.
