Job Description

Winchester Public Schools is looking for a dedicated and talented individual to serve as a middle school long term substitute social worker or school adjustment counselor from December 1, 2020 through March 9, 2021. This is a full time position that involves delivering
remote counseling services to students with disabilities. Candidates must be familiar with the IEP process and have experiences with related skills such as writing progress reports and IEP goals.

McCall Middle School (Winchester, MA) serves more than 1,100 students and their families in grades 6-8. Our entire faculty and staff work with students to achieve high academic and social standards a well as personal and community responsibility. Personal and academic growth as well as building skills in self advocacy during the middle school years prepares students for high school and beyond. Our learning approach is to offer a balanced instructional program in a team setting that emphasizes academic integrity while making an emotional connection with the students as they continue to develop social skills.

    Job Requirements

    • Must hold a valid DESE Teacher Certification
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
