Social Support Paraeducator II

Windham Southeast Supervisory Union is looking for motivating, engaging, and diverse educators and encourages all who are interested in diversity, equity and social justice to consider working with us. We are searching for team members who are passionate about working with young people and helping them to prepare for the future.

Student Educational Assistance (S.E.A.) Services at Brattleboro Union High School and Area Middle School is seeking qualified individuals for Social Support Paraeducators. These positions will directly support students receiving social/emotional support via S.E.A. Services and work in close collaboration with Special Education Social Workers and Teachers.

Qualifications Required: 1) 2 years of post-secondary education, preferably in the area of education and/or psychology, 2) Previous experience working with individuals who experience difficulty self-regulating in a school or home setting, 3) Ability to support behavioral & academic instruction in a general education environment, 4) Strong communication, problem solving and collaborative skills, 5). Knowledge of the Google platform and online learning is essential. This position will follow the WSESU School Year calendar, is on a 191 day contract, 6.67 hours per day at Wage Grade 4 ($16.56 - $22.56 per hour).
