Job Description

Academic Tutor/ Special Education Teacher to provide in person individualized academic instruction and credit recovery for ASD student in an alternative learning environment. Content area knowledge in
High School English, Mathematics, and US History . Provide behavioral and SEL support around anxiety and transition skills. . Collaborate with Content Area Teachers and School Adjustment Counselor. Facilitate hybrid/remote learning with cohort of peers .

Knowledge and experience with google classroom, google meet and Zoom.
Special Education Moderate Disability License Preferred

4 to 5 hours per day during school hours.

  • Location Description

    READS Academy is a substantially separate, day-school program that offers therapeutic, behavioral, and academic services to students in Grades K-12 who demonstrate a range of emotional/behavioral/learning/neuro-develomental disabilities. The Academy is a highly structured program that offers individualized and small-group academic instruction, individual and group counseling, and behavioral support and intervention. Ancillary therapeutic services such as speech/language therapy, occupational/physical therapy, adaptive physical education are also available. As a public school program, READS Academy follows the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, and all students participate in MCAS testing.
