Job Description


  • Work with preschool students individually, in small groups, or in a co-teaching model
  • Complete preschool speech evaluations and screenings
  • Write evaluation reports and provide recommendations at a team meeting
  • Participate in preschool screening process
  • Collaborate and consult with IEP team members
  • Maintain ongoing records for each individual student
  • Write progress reports aligned with student goals and benchmarks
  • Attend regularly announced meetings of the Special Education Department
  • Provide consultation and support to classroom teachers
  • Attend faculty/department meetings as designated by the building principal
  • Prepare and adapt programs for individual students.
  • Perform all duties as directed by the Director of Special Education and Building Principals



  • Works under the supervision of the building principal and classroom teachers
  • Works with students in classroom and small groups
  • Supports students in the inclusive testing 

All other responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.

High School diploma or general education degree (GED), two years of previous paid office experience or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
