Job Description

•Assist bus drivers in maintaining good student conduct on buses of students in PreK-8th Grade.
•Provide written record of student difficulties on buses to the appropriate staff
•Assist young and disabled students in any necessary way, including but not limited to getting on/off buses (PreK-8th grade)
•Assist in maintaining an orderly and safe environment
•Assist students with proper COVID-19 requirements such as face coverings, hand sanitizing and proper seating on the school bus.
•Monitor students for wearing face coverings and assigned seat placements
•Support special needs student w/behavior in accordance with their safety plan and IEP
•Assist Driver with cleaning and sanitizing bus in-between routes
•Understand and implement school bus emergency plans not limited to evacuations, and radio communication.
•Assist driver in assuring seat belts, safety harnesses and wheel chairs are secured as required.
•Assist students and school personnel with safe loading and unloading procedures; coordinate seating of the students.

    Job Requirements

    • •High school diploma or GED
      •Ability to work well within a team
      •Demonstrated ability to be fair, firm, and helpful
      •Knowledge of safety protocols, first aid and CPR certification preferred
      •Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50+ lbs.
      •Must be able to wear proper PPE in accordance with State and Federal COVID-19 response guidelines.
