REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Operations

 

JOB GOAL: To ensure that all educational facilities are constructed and operated in a manner consistent with the highest standards of efficiency, safety, economy, and quality. 



PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Develop, recommend and execute plans for provision of economical school facilities commensurate with legal and educational requirements.
  2. Work with commissioned architects in the construction of new facilities to ensure compliance with district requirements and economy, and implement professional procedures and results.
  3. Help oversee operational systems, processes and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision.
  4. Assist with managing the day to day business of the operations while balancing the responsibilities of various departments, vendor partners and risk management.
  5. Plays major role in long-term strategic planning, project status reporting and implementing district policy compliance.
  6. Establishes and maintains credible, professional relationships within the district community.
  7. Oversee and reports operations division metrics.
  8. Collaborates with back office personal to ensure seamless business execution.
  9. Collaborates with central office for all on-boarding and human resource matters.
  10. Direct the inspection of all construction projects to insure adherence to specifications.
  11. Assist in the preparation and presenting of agenda items to the Board pertaining to planning and construction.
  12. Help coordinate the architectural planning of the renovation of existing school plants and construction of specialized facilities as required.
  13. Investigate and evaluate new materials, techniques and methods for providing adequate, economical educational energy management facilities.
  14. Maintain and update all records, drawings and descriptive materials of all school facilities, sites and portable buildings.
  15. Assist in guiding the development and maintenance of the long range construction plan and facilities master plan. 
  16. Maintain and manage permitting and ensure compliance with environmental regulations, codes and laws.
  17. Respond to after hour emergencies.
  18. Assist in implementing the District's Desegregation Plan.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

 

  

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

 

Salary Range:                  Range 2 - Support Staff Daily Salary Schedule ($186.25/day - $297.90/day depending on relevant experience)

Length of Contract:         244 contract days 

FLSA Status:                   Exempt

Personnel Status:           Classified 



EVALUATION:

 

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
