Windham Southeast Supervisory Union Preschool Inclusion Coach 2020-2021 School Year Windham Southeast Supervisory Union is looking for motivating, engaging, and diverse educators and encourages all who are interested in diversity, equity and social justice to consider working with us. We are searching for Special Educators who are passionate about working with young people and helping them to prepare for the future. WSESU is seeking a licensed early childhood professional to provide coaching and support to preschool classrooms on inclusive practices for students on IEPs and those struggling to be successful early learners. This position will work on the Early Childhood Special Education team to assure that children on IEPs receive needed accommodations and modifications in their early childhood programs, and that classroom teachers have training and support to implement these services and create learning environments that benefit all students. The Preschool Inclusion Coach will also conduct screenings and evaluations and facilitate EST at the preschool level. Candidates will have: Experience providing coaching, professional development, and in-classroom support to preschool teachers and support staff Experience conducting early childhood developmental screenings and evaluations The ability to effectively work as part of a team with teachers, families, and community partners to promote inclusive practices Knowledge of Vermont Early Learning Standards, evidence-based positive behavior interventions, and trauma-informed practices Good oral and written communication skills, a can-do attitude, and commitment to inclusive preschool education. Candidates must possess a VT AOE educator license with endorsement in Early Childhood Special Education (or be eligible for certification in Vermont.)
