Job Description

In conjunction with the Academic Administrative Team, the Director of Curriculum and Instruction will provide leadership in planning, implementation, development, direction, review and evaluation of school’s curriculum and instructional services, and federal programs, The Director of Curriculum and Instruction, reports to the Principal and participates as a member of the academic administrative team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Participate in the interview and selection process of the instructional staff as appropriate
• Coordinate the Teacher Induction Program for new teachers (<5 years in profession)
• In conjunction with the Principal assist with school orientation programs and activities of new teachers
• Conduct formal and informal observations and supervision of staff including
any teachers placed on an improvement plan
• Develop, support, and monitor improvement plans for teachers as needed
• Counsel with principals and teachers on matters of school-wide concerns in order to help them improve their effectiveness
• Encourage ethical practices of teachers
• Responsible for the development and implementation of federal or state aid programs including but not limited to Title I, Title IIA and Title IID
• Provide strategic direction for applied learning and STEAM programming
• In conjunction with the Principal assist in preparing and creating the School Instructional Calendar
• Represent the school in meetings and conferences related to curriculum and instruction, and technology

    Job Requirements

    • • 5-7 years experience in Curriculum and Instruction leadership in an middle/high school educational setting required • 7+ years of classroom experience with increased teacher leader responsibilities required • Experience in a Catholic School setting highly desired • Masters degree required • Proficiency in the Microsoft Suite, Google Classroom Platform, and other technical resources • High level of interpersonal skills • Ability to work with a diverse community • Any exceptions to these requirements as determined by the Principal
    • At least 12 years of relevant experience preferred
    • Master degree preferred
    • Citizenship, residency or work visa required
