Job Description


Work within the Human Resource area to support in maintaining compliance with Human Resources policies and procedures, work with all levels of internal management and staff as well as outside clients and vendors, work with potential candidates, interns, volunteers, and/or staff answering questions and guiding them through the Agency’s policies, procedures and benefits. Areas of focus include benefit administration, including Medical, Dental, FSA, 403(b), Life/ADD, STD/LTD, Workers Compensation and managing employee medical leaves such as FMLA, Parental Leave, PFML, etc.

Starting Salary: $20.97 per hour 40 hours per week/52 weeks per year

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred.
  • SHRM-HR Certification a plus.
Experience in the following:
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducting background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Providing and overseeing the onboarding process.
  • Performing routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and all leave requirement
  • Handling employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintaining knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS systems.
